Summary:  This 3-day conference on export controls for the academic and scientific community provided a forum for exchanging information and best practices regarding U.S. export, import, and trade sanctions laws and regulations. The conference also provided an opportunity for the Department of Commerce, BIS, the Department of State, DDTC, the Department of Treasury, OFAC, and other government agencies to engage the university community on the export control issues that specifically affect universities, clinical research centers, and other nonprofit research institutions.
